Our sheering group has long trays that are 20′ long. They pull these trays out and manually move scrap from them to another holding place. They then take that scrap out and dump sometimes manually. The shearing machine is then idle for 20-30 minutes every 8 hours. We prdouct 2 shifts/ day 5 days a week. We are loosing 8 hours min per week. We have 3 people assigned to the cell. Each valued at 25 (ish) per hour. 8 hours * 52= 416 * 25= A lot of money!.
We need a solution that allows no extra manual touches.
The system must be able to dumped safely with a fork truck.
We have unlimited metal and internal resources to help fab. We need a solidworks stud/studess to draw, simulate, get buy-in from operations, and execution.
